Timo Knuutila The whole idea of managing and policing the topics covered on the internet has not succeeded in any way. The structures have shattered into pieces, proving actually that without structured approach nothing can be accomplished.
On viewers of materials one could think there would be groups that would be like those who do not watch porn, those who watch moderate porn, those who watch anything goes, and then the kinky and the even more kinky views. Nothing seems to correlate to peoples everyday backgrounds. Not age, not sosioeconomical status, education level. Even those who much spend their daylight hours at work and then participating in time consuming events, tend to have time then to excersise their excited minds. Some seek free porn and sites for it, and some seek paid services only to benefit from the companies wanting to stay in business and thus taking care of their customers data and cyberthreat mitigation.

The internet in general, social media in particular just feeds the frenzy. The problem goes deeper than what we see. There are videos of beatings, rapes, murders readily shared either to alert or to amuse which just makes the the stopcyberbullies initiative so important to stop the rot b/4 it sets but i'm afraid it's just a battle and not the war.

And this importance is justified by the fact that today it is very easy to get the notoriety and become famous through the network, thus to attack a person gets affects his reputation, which is visible from all over the world, with threats or virtual action.

in the topic Photos on ICTTF profiles? in the forum ICTTF Website
In light of the privacy issue on Linkedin recently, I got a few emails asking for my opinion on using photographs in profiles on community sites.   So very briefly let’s consider why should you use a photo on your ICTTF profile or other community sites?   There can be fake profiles on community sites. A photograph can help show that you are real and helps establish credibility in the community. Why would you not display who you are? What are you afraid of? Not having a photograph means people may be suspicious of your profile. For your personal branding, a photograph is essential.   First impressions mean everything and often our first impression is a visual one.   Some members opt for using logos or graphics of some sort, each to their own it all helps “connect” us and have a visual reference to work with.   See the attached PIc......that's Jolie, she's fairly memorable... in the topic ICTTF Updates with Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin in the forum ICTTF Website
Yes it is now possible to integrate all your community updates. Simply go to "Settings" and you will see the option to integrate with Twitter and Facebook.   NB The first time you login you will need to "Authorize" the ICTTF app to allow it to speak with Twitter and/or Facebook. Then simply put your updates into ICTTF and they will automatically appear in Twitter and Facebook.   For Linkedin users, you can use the option of linking your Twitter account with your Linkedin account (from Linkedin) and this means that when you update in ICTTF it feeds to Twitter an then automatically to Linkedin... Nice !! another reason to use ICTTF.org :)     This post was edited by Paul C Dwyer at July 15, 2011 10:51 AM BST"
