This includes fraudulent phone calls, e-mail schemes, scareware and malware attacks, phishing scams, and more. The perpetrator of the fraud usually uses the information they receive immediately, but sometimes they aggregate that data or use it to take control over even more functions of your life. This can include installing rootkits, viruses, worms, trojans, malware, adware, unwanted applications, keyloggers, and other software on your computer without your knowledge.
